Portlaoise GAA Social Night

A new addition to the Portlaoise GAA calendar is ready for blast off.

On the second Friday of every month the club will have a social night and this will alternate between our Portlaoise publicans (in alphabetical order these pubs are De Bruns, Kavanaghs, Lilly’s, Maggie Mays, Mick Ryans, and Peig’s). 

The idea behind the monthly social is for our club members, friends and supporters to be able to get together in the spirit of what club is all about. It is something we haven’t been able to do in recent years with Covid and also the fact that we haven’t had a clubhouse facility to allow it since the days of the old GAA Centre.

We simply want Portlaoise GAA people to know that if it’s suiting you to go out socially on the second Friday of a month – well you know that Portlaoise GAA are out that evening and you might meet some old friends for a chat and some light humour.

Our first social night is in De Bruns Bar at 9pm this coming Friday……Stapo is getting the red carpet ready and it might be green by the end of the night. We would be delighted to see you there if it suits your plans on the night. We sincerely want to lock it in as a permanent fixture in our calendars and we would encourage you to spread the word far and wide – everybody is most welcome and no doubt there will be plenty of reminiscing on these nights.

So that’s this Friday. 8th April. De Bruns Bar. Come on down and Cmon the Town!
