Final score 2-4 to 2-2. 
Portlaoise scored a great double at Under 16 level by defeating St. Canices, Ballacolla, by 5-1 to 2-0 in the hurling decider and proving too good for Graiguecullen by 2-4 to 2-1 in the football final.
