Portlaoise Intermediate footballers registered a very impressive away victory against Kilcavan in the league yesterday evening.
A cagey first half affair finished with Kilcavan going in ahead at half time. Although there was quite a bit of confusion about the correct score, but that’s for another day!
In the second half, Portlaoise put in a very disciplined and accomplished display, led up front by the evergreen Paul Cahillane, who came on at half time and had 6 points to his name by the full-time whistle.
A great win for the Town, which lifts them to 2nd in the ACFL Division 3 league table. Congrats to all players and management on a great win.
A special word of thanks also to Kilcavan GAA club, who put on a lovely spread of refreshments for players and management after the game. It went down a treat and was greatly appreciated.
