Our Teams
A Proud Legacy of Success Across All Codes
Portlaoise GAA has a storied and distinguished history of competing at the highest levels across all four codes, Football, Hurling, Ladies Football, and Camogie. From our successes at local, provincial, and national levels, our club has consistently been a force to be reckoned with. Over the decades, Portlaoise teams have lifted countless county championships, claimed provincial titles, and proudly represented Laois on the national stage. Our dedication to excellence, combined with a deep-rooted passion for Gaelic games, has made Portlaoise one of the most respected clubs in the country.
At the adult level, Portlaoise GAA continues to field competitive teams in all four codes, ensuring that players of all abilities have the opportunity to develop, compete, and succeed. Our Senior Football and Hurling teams have a long-standing tradition of excellence, while our Ladies Football and Camogie teams continue to thrive, growing stronger with each season. Whether it’s championship battles in O’Moore Park, Leinster campaigns, or national club competitions, Portlaoise GAA remains at the heart of Gaelic games.
Our commitment to player development is evident through our structured pathway from underage to adult level. Our Minor teams and underage structures serve as a vital foundation, nurturing young talent and preparing them for the challenges of senior competition. At the very beginning of this journey is our Town Tigers nursery, where our Under 5 boys and girls are introduced to the joy of Gaelic games in a fun and inclusive environment.
We are also proud to have our Town All Stars, an inclusive section of the club that provides children of all abilities with the opportunity to enjoy Gaelic games in a fun, supportive, and welcoming setting. This initiative embodies the spirit of community, inclusivity, and accessibility that defines Portlaoise GAA.
For those looking for a social and non-competitive way to stay active and connected with the club, our Gaelic for Mothers & Others program offers a fantastic opportunity for women to learn and enjoy Gaelic football in a relaxed and fun environment. This initiative has become an important part of our club, fostering friendships and encouraging lifelong participation in sport.
Whether competing for county titles, Leinster honours, or national glory, Portlaoise GAA has always been and will continue to be a club of ambition, passion, and pride. We welcome new players, supporters, and volunteers to join us on this journey and be part of the rich legacy of The Town.
