Welcome to the Adult Football section of Portlaoise GAA, catering for male players from over 17 right up to Senior level.

Portlaoise GAA has a rich tradition of success in Gaelic football, making us one of the most decorated clubs in Leinster. Our Senior Football team has won an impressive 35 Laois Senior Football Championships, making us the county’s leading club. We’ve also proudly secured 7 Leinster Senior Club titles, proving our capability at the very highest level. A proud day for us was in 1983, when Portlaoise were crowned All-Ireland Senior Club Football Champions, cementing our place among Ireland’s elite clubs.

At adult level, we field multiple teams, including U20, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior, ensuring players at every level get the chance to develop, compete, and enjoy the game. Our teams are backed by dedicated volunteers including managers, selectors, coaches, and administrators, all working tirelessly to uphold the club’s high standards.

This year, the Senior management team is headed by Turlough O’Brien, backed up by Simon Rea and Connie Conroy. The Intermediate manager is Ronan Molloy, with support from Sean Brown and Kieran Dunphy. Our Junior management team consists of Joe Daly, Sean Brown, and Ger Egan.

Portlaoise GAA has consistently produced top-class inter-county players, proudly representing Laois in the National League and All-Ireland Championships. Their achievements have raised the profile of both our club and county, inspiring the next generation of footballers.
