“I volunteer because the club is at the heart of our community and has been such a big part of life for so many families, including my own. Seeing young people develop confidence, friendships and pride through sport makes the effort worthwhile. I want to help leave the club stronger for the next generation”
Jason Lalor – TOWN25
As part of National Volunteer Week, we will be highlighting some of the incredible volunteers who help make Portlaoise GAA what it is.
Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing stories from people across the club and hearing in their own words why they volunteer, what the club means to them, and the role community plays in The Town.
From coaches and mentors to committee members, organisers, supporters and helpers behind the scenes, our club simply would not function without the time, energy and dedication of volunteers.
We look forward to shining a light on the people who continue to give so much to Portlaoise GAA.
