Na Fianna Óg 2-6
Portlaoise made it two wins from two in the Midlands Park Hotel U15 ‘A’ Football Championship with a hard-earned 1-11 to 2-6 victory over Na Fianna Óg in Barrowhouse last night.
In a closely contested encounter, both sides produced some excellent football, with little separating them throughout. Na Fianna Óg’s goals kept the pressure on, but Portlaoise responded with some fine scores of their own and showed great composure during the closing stages to edge in front and secure a deserved two-point win.
It was another determined team performance, with the lads showing resilience and character to maintain their unbeaten start to the championship.
Attention now turns to Round 3, where Portlaoise will face O’Dempsey’s on Wednesday, 29th July.
