“I volunteer because it’s very rewarding to see our girls develop their skills, grow in confidence and take pride in representing the club. Coming from a strong Tyrone GAA background, I’m proud to play a small part in supporting our welcoming club and the wider community it serves.”
Deirdre Bohan – Club Registrar
As part of National Volunteer Week, we will be highlighting some of the incredible volunteers who help make Portlaoise GAA what it is.
Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing stories from people across the club and hearing in their own words why they volunteer, what the club means to them, and the role community plays in The Town.
From coaches and mentors to committee members, organisers, supporters and helpers behind the scenes, our club simply would not function without the time, energy and dedication of volunteers.
We look forward to shining a light on the people who continue to give so much to Portlaoise GAA.
