Built by Volunteers: Diarmuid Lalor

“I volunteer because as a juvenile player I recall some great volunteers who really had a positive affect on me not just in sport but in life in general, years later any time i meet  those people I still have such respect for them and the the amount of time they gave me at an important stage of life”

Diarmuid Lalor – U12/13 Hurling Coach

As part of National Volunteer Week, we will be highlighting some of the incredible volunteers who help make Portlaoise GAA what it is.

Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing stories from people across the club and hearing in their own words why they volunteer, what the club means to them, and the role community plays in The Town.

From coaches and mentors to committee members, organisers, supporters and helpers behind the scenes, our club simply would not function without the time, energy and dedication of volunteers.

We look forward to shining a light on the people who continue to give so much to Portlaoise GAA.
