Portlaoise claimed a well-earned victory over Timahoe LFC in Round 4 of the LOETB LGFA U14 ‘A’ League, finishing 4-6 to 2-5 in Stradbally yesterday evening.
The Town side made a bright start and carried that momentum through the contest, with their ability to take goal chances proving decisive. Timahoe remained competitive throughout, but Portlaoise’s work rate and efficiency in front of goal ultimately created the gap.
It was a composed and disciplined display from Portlaoise, with strong contributions across the pitch, and the result keeps their league campaign moving in a positive direction.
