Our U16 girls got their LGFA U16 ‘A’ Championship campaign off to the perfect start this evening with an impressive 2-14 to 1-5 victory over Park Ratheniska in Ratheniska.

From the opening whistle, Portlaoise played with great intensity and determination, producing an excellent team performance at both ends of the field. The girls moved the ball well, defended with discipline and took their scoring chances to build a deserved lead.

It was a display full of hard work, teamwork and quality football, with every player making a valuable contribution to an excellent opening-round championship win.

Congratulations to all of the players and management on a fantastic start to the campaign.
