This week marks the beginning of a new series of blitzes for all 2nd, 3rd and 4th class pupils across the schools of Portlaoise.
All schools in the town have been invited to enter teams to take part in a series of blitzes, giving children the opportunity to play against their peers from other schools, develop their skills and most importantly enjoy Gaelic games in a fun and inclusive environment.
Lead by Club GPO Josh Hogan, the initiative is aimed at creating more opportunities for children to play GAA and helping to grow participation in our games right across Portlaoise.
The first blitz takes place today, Friday 29th May, with the 4th Class Football Blitz getting proceedings underway.
Best of luck to all the children taking part and thank you to the schools, teachers and volunteers helping to make it happen.
