Camogie U12 League: Portlaoise Whites v Camross Camogie

Our Portlaoise White U12 camogie girls travelled to Camross yesterday evening in the DS Sport Teamwear Camogie U12 League and produced an excellent performance to record a terrific result away from home.

In what was a very competitive and skilful game between two strong teams, both sets of players showed great determination, teamwork and no shortage of talent throughout. Credit must go to Camross, who battled hard from start to finish and played their part in a very entertaining contest.

Portlaoise, however, were sharp from the outset and gradually emerged as the stronger side over the course of the game, with some excellent passages of play, strong defending and well-worked scores helping them on their way.

It was a particularly pleasing evening for the group as it marked Portlaoise’s first win away to Camross at this age grade.
