“I volunteer because I enjoy giving back to my community and helping players grow in confidence while enjoying the game. Being involved has allowed me to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills, while also building great friendships and being part of a strong club environment.”
Olga Loughman – DLP Officer
As part of National Volunteer Week, we will be highlighting some of the incredible volunteers who help make Portlaoise GAA what it is.
Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing stories from people across the club and hearing in their own words why they volunteer, what the club means to them, and the role community plays in The Town.
From coaches and mentors to committee members, organisers, supporters and helpers behind the scenes, our club simply would not function without the time, energy and dedication of volunteers.
We look forward to shining a light on the people who continue to give so much to Portlaoise GAA.
