Portlaoise came out on top in a well-contested U16 ‘C’ League game, with goals proving the difference against a determined St Joseph’s side over in Milltown this evening.

Both teams showed plenty of endeavour throughout, but Portlaoise made the most of their chances in front of goal to build a lead that St Joseph’s couldn’t quite claw back.

A solid team performance and a good result for the girls.
