LGFA U14 ‘A’ League: Portlaoise v St Brigid’s

Portlaoise 6-11
St Brigid’s 2-0

Portlaoise produced another impressive display in the LGFA U14 ‘A’ League yesterday evening, overcoming St Brigid’s by 6-11 to 2-0 in Arles-Killeen.

The visitors set the tone from the outset with a strong opening quarter and carried that momentum throughout the contest. Playing with confidence and intensity, Portlaoise moved the ball well and took their scoring chances to build a commanding lead.

While the forwards contributed heavily to the scoreboard, the foundation for the victory came from a disciplined team performance. The defence worked tirelessly to limit St Brigid’s opportunities, while midfield provided a steady supply of possession that allowed the attack to flourish.

To their credit, St Brigid’s battled throughout and never stopped working, but Portlaoise maintained their focus and continued to add scores at regular intervals to secure a comprehensive victory.

The result keeps the squad’s excellent run of form going as they continue to make strong progress in the league campaign.
