We are holding our first Portlaoise Club Camogie Blitz this Sunday, 6th September, in Rathleague.

The blitz will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm and will bring together girls from across our juvenile camogie section for what we hope will be a really enjoyable morning to celebrate a fantastic season of camogie in the club.

The games will be played in a street league format, with the different age groups playing on the following pitches with throw in at 11am:

• U7 & U8: Pitch 6
• U9 & U10: Pitch 4
• U11 & U12: Pitch 5
• U14 & U16: Pitch 1

Following the street league games, all of the girls taking part will be presented with medals.

There will also be a special match involving our U14 and U16 girls, who will compete for “The Town Cup”. We would encourage all of our younger players to stay around after their own games and support the older girls as they battle it out for the trophy.

And there is one more treat to finish off the morning. An ice cream van will be in Rathleague, with all of the girls getting an ice cream when they have finished playing.

This is the first year the club has organised the Camogie Blitz and we hope it will be a fun morning for everyone involved and a fitting celebration of another fantastic season for camogie in Portlaoise.
