A beautiful sunny evening in scenic Stradbally saw the little town edge out the Portlaoise with a last gasp two pointer from a free.
It looked like Portlaoise had claimed the spoils when Finn Dawson got a late score but the referee played 5 minutes injury time and Stradbally stole it at the death.
Good to see Kieran Lillis return to the fold and he made a difference when introduced.
Disappointing result – hard luck to players and management on the night.
