Portlaoise maintained their strong run in the LGFA Senior League with a composed six-point victory over St Conleth’s in Portarlington this evening.

In a well-contested encounter, it was the Town who made the more decisive moves at key moments, with two well-taken goals proving the difference between the sides. While St Conleth’s remained competitive throughout and kept the scoreboard ticking, Portlaoise’s greater cutting edge in attack ultimately told.

Built on a solid defensive platform and disciplined work rate around the middle third, Portlaoise controlled much of the game and showed good efficiency in front of goal to see it out.

Another positive outing for the side as the league campaign continues.
