“I’m the third of four generations proudly involved with Portlaoise GAA. I love seeing young players grow in confidence and skill on and off the pitch, and the sense of community you get back from the club is second to none. Every bit you give to the club, you get back tenfold through the support and sense of community it creates.”
Denise Plunkett – U12 Camogie Coach
As part of National Volunteer Week, we will be highlighting some of the incredible volunteers who help make Portlaoise GAA what it is.
Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing stories from people across the club and hearing in their own words why they volunteer, what the club means to them, and the role community plays in The Town.
From coaches and mentors to committee members, organisers, supporters and helpers behind the scenes, our club simply would not function without the time, energy and dedication of volunteers.
We look forward to shining a light on the people who continue to give so much to Portlaoise GAA.
