Hard luck to our Under 16 girls who narrowly missed out in the LOETB LGFA Under 16 ‘C’ League Final last night, going down to St. Joseph’s on a scoreline of 7-9 to 7-2 in Annanough.
After falling behind in the opening half, the girls showed tremendous character and determination after the break, battling hard right to the final whistle and never giving up. Despite their spirited second-half display, the deficit proved just too much to overcome.
While the result didn’t go their way, the players can be incredibly proud of the commitment, resilience and teamwork they showed throughout the league campaign to reach the final.
Well done to all of the players and management on a fantastic effort, and congratulations to St. Joseph’s on their victory.
