Portlaoise returned to winning ways tonight in what turned out eventually to be a comfortable victory. Playing with the aid of the wind we passed up several goalscoring opportunities in the first half and the decision making all over the field was poor at times. The Town just had a slender lead of 1-6 to 3 points at half time. 

The workrate improved throughout the team in the second half and a couple of late goals gave us the victory on a scoreline of 5-12 to 7 points.
