Portlaoise GAA Club has contested 30 Laois Minor A Hurling Championships winning 21.

Our first win came in 1949 beating Kilminchy (Portlaoise) 5-02 to 1-00 and our latest win was in 2001 when we defeated Castletown/Slieve Bloom 1-11 to 1-10. 

In the late 40s Rovers, a Portlaoise based GAA club along with Kilminchy joined forces with Portlaoise GAA to play under the Portlaoise GAA club banner. We are recording Rovers victories here for posterity. 

Rovers plated in 6 Minor A County Finals winning  all 6. All 6 were won one after the other from 1942 to 1947. 

Rovers won 1 Junior A Championship in 1945 beating Kyle 3-07 to 1-02.
