Adult Ladies Football

Welcome to the Adult Ladies Football section of Portlaoise GAA, looking after players from Over 18 right up to Senior Level. We’re delighted to have a lively and growing community, with around 450 girls and ladies togging out across all age groups in the club. That number keeps rising thanks to the fantastic efforts at juvenile level, where more and more girls stick with football and step up to our adult teams.

Portlaoise GAA mightn’t have the longest history in Ladies Football, but we’ve made a big impact, winning 3 Laois Senior Championships and consistently challenging in county and provincial competitions. Our club has proudly produced top-notch players who’ve gone on to represent Laois at inter-county level, reinforcing our reputation as one of the county’s top clubs.

Our current Senior manager is Kevin O’Grady, supported by his backroom team of Ryan O’Grady, Mark Brophy and Lorraine McCormack

We’re all about giving every player a chance, whether you’re aiming for the highest honours or simply playing for the sheer love of the game. We also have a close partnership with our Camogie section, encouraging dual players to thrive in both codes.

We also proudly run a non-competitive adult ladies section called Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others, designed for those who want to play purely for fun, fitness, and friendship. For more information, go here.

New players are always more than welcome, whether you’re a seasoned footballer, returning after some time away, or just fancy giving it a try for the first time. There’s a spot for everyone at Portlaoise GAA.
