1928, 1943, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1998, 2004;
Portlaoise GAA Club has taken part in 28 Laois Senior Hurling Championship finals, coming out on top 11 times.
Our first final was way back in 1924, where we lost to Rathdowney on a scoreline of 4-03 to 2-01. We didn’t have to wait too long for success though, as we picked up our first title in 1928, beating Clonad by 0-04 to 1-00.
Our most recent win came in 2004, when we got the better of Castletown, finishing 2-08 to 0-07.
