Adult Hurling

Welcome to the Adult Hurling section of Portlaoise GAA, catering for male players from Over 17 right up to Senior Level.

Portlaoise GAA has a proud and successful tradition in hurling, consistently competing at the highest levels across the county and province. Our Senior Hurling team has won an impressive 11 Laois Senior Hurling Championships, solidifying our place among the county’s most successful clubs. Alongside our championship victories, we have consistently competed in league and provincial competitions, showcasing the strength and tradition of hurling in The Town.

We field adult teams at U20, Junior, and Senior levels, giving players of all abilities the opportunity to compete, develop, and enjoy their hurling. Our current Senior manager is Cyril Duggan, supported by his backroom team of Pat Critchley, Damien Lynch, and Paul Conroy. At Junior level, the team is managed by Diarmuid Lalor, assisted by James Brown, Roch Scully, Eugene Deegan, Dennis Kavanagh, and Ed Dwyer. Our dedicated managers, selectors, coaches, and volunteers are the backbone of our club, tirelessly maintaining the high standards and rich hurling heritage of Portlaoise GAA.

Over the years, Portlaoise has produced numerous outstanding hurlers who’ve proudly represented both the club and Laois with great distinction. The commitment and success of these players continue to inspire future generations within the club.

We’re always eager to welcome new players and volunteers into our hurling community. Whether you’re an experienced hurler, someone returning after a break, or completely new to the game, you’ll find a warm welcome here at Portlaoise GAA.
